Frequently asked questions

Is Vectorizely really free?
Yes. Converting your image and downloading the result as SVG, PNG or JPG is free forever — no watermark, no sign-up, and no credits to buy. Pro adds extra formats, saved projects, print-ready PDFs, cut files, brand palettes and batch as an optional upgrade.
What's free and what's Pro?
Free: unlimited SVG and PNG (including 2× / 4× high-resolution) and JPG export, every editing tool (colors, detail, recolor, gradients, undo/redo, before/after compare, pixel editor, background removal), craft templates (paint-by-numbers and diamond, with a drill-count list), and opening saved projects — all with no watermark and no account. Pro: PDF, EPS, DXF and Android XML export, saving projects (.vxr), reusable settings presets, brand palette lock, print-ready and poster-tiled PDF, craft print packs, color-separated cut files for Cricut/Silhouette, optimized SVG and batch — available as a 7-day pass, monthly or annual plan.
Can I use it for Cricut, Silhouette or laser cutting?
Yes. With Pro you can export color-separated SVG files — one per color, all on the same canvas so the layers register — for layered Cricut and Silhouette cuts, or export DXF at true millimetre size for laser cutters and CNC. Paint-by-numbers and diamond-painting charts can be exported as print-ready PDFs too.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Vectorizely runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly — your images are processed on your own device and never leave it.
Which file formats are supported?
Upload PNG, JPG or WebP images. Export SVG, PNG (including 2× and 4× high-resolution) and JPG for free; PDF, EPS, DXF (at true millimetre size) and Android XML are available with Pro.
Do I need to install software or create an account?
No. There's nothing to install and no account required — just open the site and drop in an image.
Can I use the vectors commercially?
Yes. The output is yours to use, including for commercial work — you're responsible for holding the rights to the image you convert.
Does it handle transparency and backgrounds?
Yes. Transparent PNGs are preserved, and you can remove a solid background before tracing for clean, isolated vectors.
